Why in Cemetery in Center Point, Tx ?

Sun Apr 20, 2014 7:26 pm

Can any one tell me why there are so many Texas Rangers buried in the cemetery in Center Point, Tx? We live here in Center Point and was wondering what the attraction or what ever there was for so many rangers to be buried here. If you please let me know.

Howdy!

Kerrsville, Kerr County was the seat of the 75 men Company "F" of the Frontier Battalion of Texas Rangers. It was a booming place until the 1920's when cars and highways did it in.
But, aside from being Company "F's" base, for some reason a large number of Rangers decided to retire there which became a tradition of sorts.

Thank you all for responding. I had forgot that I had posted my question here. The answer of the retirement confirms what I had been told.
