TV "Westerns" have been scarce since the Glory Days of the 1950's through 1970's. But here is a new one. AMC is about to launch a mini-series this month called "The Son" starring Pierce Brosnan as the head of a Texas cattle family who was captured as a teenager by the Comanche . It is based on Phillip Meyer's 2013 novel. In an untypical move, Meyer's was hired as a writer and "advisor" on the historical aspects of the production. We shall see. But some lads have a saying: "A bad Western is better than no Western." :)

Howdy!

I have been watching "The Son." I like it. But I could just be starved for Westerns. :)

Flips back and forth and forth and back between, so far.. 1849/1850 and 1915.
