Yes. I liked the original "Magnificent 7" best- "The Seven Samurai." ;) :)

Ha! Yeah! That's the best telling of the story. Ironclad is the second best, and Magnificent 7 the third

Watched a Spanish movie on Netflix today........17th century Spain....with French and England intrigue. All the royals were there King Charles, King Phillip and King Louis...the what ever...musketeers .............but hero was a super hero "Spanish Ninja" Called the "Red Eagle"....replete with Samurai sword and black ninja clothes............no his name was not "McCloud".......it was called "Red Eagle The Movie"....so it must be a Spanish t.v. series......Netflix....the miracle of the internet! 8-)

Howdy!

No one expects the Spanish Inquisition, er Ninja!"

I yet to watch any of the new "American West" series... but have three episodes recorded.

"Previews" show a number of famous actors as Talking Heads, but the actors look bad or poor. I think I may have spied a stereotypical historically incorrect ash blond curly topped permed George Custer.

I may watch them this weakend and report back.

Movie Time Mick

How d' ye!

Custer was, as was his brother Tom.

In Popular History, the "Yellow Hair" thing gets remembered making him blond. I have no idea wear the tiny permed curls come from.

Part of the mistake is also fueled by the blond hair lock said to be, presented as being, Custer's in the Monroe museum (I saw it). IMHO, it is one of those things, particularly about early 20th and 19th century museums where people donated stuff saying it was Such and Such and museum staff never questioned or challenged it.

Like my friend's family heirloom M1873 Springfield (stock date stamped 1894) used by his 5-great grandfather in the Rev War. Or in a local museum here a British P1856 sword bayonet labelled as being from the 1763 Bradstreet Detroit relief expedition.

:)
