Thought so.......apparently quite a few percussion Colts were converted by Mexican gun smiths. Thanks for sharing!

Howdy!

In this case, it is not a cartridge conversion of a C & B Colt...but the M1871/72 made as is.

I always liked the Mexican Eagle motif, must be the rattlesnake. :)

Hey Mick......yes I'm familiar with the "72" Open Top.......just reminded about Mexican conversions seeing the Mexican Eagle on the grips! ;) ...should have probably clarified a bit more.
