Sweet!....actually a pet donkey would be in many ways preferable to a dog......super smart, loyal, packable ...and deadly on coyotes!

He looks a little too comfortable, that donkey looks a little too nervous...

Seriously, neat find. I think we (at least I do) tend to think of the stoic Victorian portrait type photos with the unsmiling photos as being all they did with photos back then, but there were a lot of "silly pictures", " Photoshopped" pictures and a variety of subject matter
