Hey guys.
Last night I finished the scales on my Rio Grande Camp/Bowie/Dagger knife.
I did a lot of homework regarding the long blades and found that the longer blades were quite common in the early to mid 1800's so I made one. The guard is small as I intend to make a sheath that covers the handle by a third.
Also in the pic is my hunting knife I dug out of my gear to clean it up. It's a Russell skinner from the late 80's (1980's) back then I threw some pine scales on it and the tacks for decoration.
Sorry for the crummy pic but you get the idea.

The new knife looks good Revor.
Don't know that I've seen pine used before.
I've used apple wood on a couple of handles and like it real well.
