This is not a big deal and certainly not "period" but I've made quite a few cobblers in my dutch oven and actually learned from an old buddy who had a chuck wagon business.

2 cups bisquick (Krusteaz Pancake is what I used)
2 cups milk
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup butter (margarine melted)
2 cups sugar
58 ozs or two 29oz cans of sliced peaches (drain off syrup)

Drop butter into bottom of heated Dutch oven and let melt.

Stir together Bisquick (Krusteaz), milk and cinnamon and pour over melted butter in 8”-10” Dutch Oven.

Stir together sugar and peaches; spoon over batter.

Set Dutch oven over 10-12 briquettes and place 10 on lid.

Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until golden. You want it to barely bubble!

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream as topping.
