Hi pards! I start this topic with the aim to suggest the most beautiful coffee table books about the Old West. I'm always searching for this kind of books, I'm raptured by the wonderful old black and white photos of towns and ghost towns, people, landscapes, cowboys, streets, buildings, mines, ranches and many other western subjects!

I can recommend these books:

- The American Frontier. Pioneers, Settlers & Cowboys, 1800-1899, by William C. Davis
- Age of gunfighter. Man and weapons on the Frontier, 1840-1900, by Joseph G. Rosa
- The West, by W. Davis & J. Rosa (a collage of the two books above mentioned)
- The Peacemakers. Arms and adventures in the American West, by R.L. Wilson
- Colt. An american legend, by R.L. Wilson
- Images of the Old West, by Dee Brown (text) and Mort Kunstler (paintings)
- Home on the range. A culinary history of the American West, by Cathy Luchetti
- Stagecoach. Rare Views of the Old West, 1849-1915, by Sandor Demlinger
- The West. An american experience, edited by David R. Phillips
- The Wild West, by Time Life Editors
- The West. An illustrated history, by Geoffrey C. Ward & Dayton Duncan
- The story of the West. A history of the American West and its people, edited by Robert Utley
- The Old West, by Time Life Editors
- Story of the great American West, by Reader's Digest Editors
- The Wild West Catalog, by Bruce Wexler
- The Time Life Old West serie (The townsmen, The cowboys, The gunfighters, etc.)

Do you have some suggestions about similar books full of photos? Both Old West history and ghost towns. For example, I can't find a book like the ones above about the ghost towns of the West (I know the Florin's book, but it has black and white photos of poor quality, while I'm searching for ghost towns book with big colored photos).

Anyway, I hope that my above list can be useful for you, also if it's very likely that you always know these titles.

So long!
